<sigh> another reminder that Americans are stupid, we need to colonize mars, and the fact that most people don't know that you can survive in vacuum for at least a minute, you don't explode, you don't freeze, you cook...

and that most people don't know which country is actually the forefather of modern space travel....

still the space shuttle looks neat... :D

Nah!
:iconbarefoot-fencer:
What?

Why would we colonize Mars? What use is there in that? The earth is sufficient for the time being.

Hmmm... Americans are stupid, eh? Where was Henry Ford from? And Thomas Edison?
And... ultimate frisbee was invented in the U.S. And that's definately worth something.

And about the forefathers of space travel - sure, so maybe someone else was the forefather, but we were the first ones on the moon.

You don't explode?

Then what happened to the Columbia on re-entry to the atmosphere?

vacuum survival and and reentry are two completely different situations, Do not get them confused, reentry causes extreme friction on physical matter and thus heat, what happens next is obvious, the vacuum however means there are no obvious particles and you are under zero pressure with little or no gravitational pull. with no other nearby matter and no pressure you don't explode (not usauly anyway and certainly not immediately)
instead with no particles to transfer heat to you literally cook in your own skin, very quickly!

Henry ford was Irish
Thomas Edison was of Dutch descent, and therefore none of them are really America, further more Americans don't design any of there hi-tech technology anymore they get Israelis, English and Ozzie (kiwis to) to do it for them, who designed the F-22? do a little research.

Germany was working on the V3 rocket which never went past prototype stage, though never built it would of (mathematically speaking) been possible for it to reach orbit. further more its captured predecessors lead to the development of modern space travel in both America and Russia (both captured alot of V rocket units)

Yeah, and I'm Irish, German, etc... And we still say I'm American, even though I'm really a barbaric Celt....
Henry Ford was Irish, Edison was Dutch, but we still call them American, no?

And I have a question for you: Does it REALLY matter who came up with technology as long as we have them?
And the things that REALLY matter, like frisbees, were invented in the US. And U-2s were at least designed there as well, and those are pretty cool.

Okay, so Germany was working on it but never got as far as we did. How does that make us stupid?
Americans were the first on the moon. How does that make us stupid?
We invented the frisbee. How does that make us stupid?

in the Apolo mission the only part that was designed in america failed, the landing computer...

America is however brilliant when it comes to promoting nationalism through propaganda and boosting their economy through warfare and the selling of arms, this has however indirectly led to their downfall the African tribal wars are evidence of this and this has thus destroyed mush of their public image to the rest of the world.

though many refused to acknowledge it America was initially an penal colony, where the convicts were to work the land and eventually regain there British citizenship, this plan backfired when the American colonists fought for there independence.

the English corrected their mistakes with Australia by sending citizens to Australia to work the land while Tasmania become a dumping ground for convicts, they created a Darwin-socialism communty and exterminated the local habitants...

now America and Australia have continual problems with Drug pushers and addict, welfare slackers and criminals and all sorts of awful people... :(

You invented the Frisbee? *smiles *grins *laughs
yeah right dream on, you coined the term "Frisbee" but you did not invent it, in fact no one know who invented it because it dates back to far... don't believe me? search up Chakram and other related stuff...

:iconbarefoot-fencer:
Okay, so maybe we weren't the first people with Frisbees. But there are many other things people claim to have invented but didn't really.

Everywhere has problems with awful people.

And Apollo has 2 l's. ;)

So maybe America was originally a Penal colony, buuut... what about the Puritans? We mustn't leave the Puritans out. They came to America for religious freedoms - they were not criminals. And to Christians, that's the part of the story that really matters. Sometimes that's just what we need to do, step back and look at what REALLY matters, not arguing over which country is the best or worst.

Discussion closed.
